In the post the actor thanked all the people who helped him adopt Kuma, which means bear in Japanese. As per his Instagram stories, Kuma was found dirty and injured after the deadly Hurricane Harvey. She was then bought to a “high-kill shelter.” Luckily, before anything bad could have happened, A Chance to Bloom Dog Rescue in Conroe, Texas, rescued the dog and treated her with utmost care.
Justin Theroux heard about the dog while working with the rescue group Austin Pets Alive! He soon drove to Houston and checked on Kuma who needed constant care and treatment.
Few weeks later, when Kuma was ready for adoption, Pilot N Paws, flew her to “NYC-ish” where she was greeted by Justin Theroux and was welcomed to her new forever home with open arms.

She fully puts her head of the pillows, I mean she sleeps like people. And it’s nice to wake up in the morning and have her right there with you.”
