The wait is almost over, dog sports enthusiasts! Westminster Dog Show 2024 — presented once again by Purina Pro Plan — is just around the corner, and there’s a lot to look forward to.
The highly-anticipated annual sporting event will attract over 3,000 dogs from around the world. Expect to see more than 200 breeds — from Irish Wolfhounds to Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Bracco Italianos, Whippets, and more — vying for the highly coveted “Best in Show” title.
When are the Westminster Dog Show 2024 dates?
This year, the prestigious multi-day event will run from Saturday, May 11 to Tuesday, May 14.
The event will kick off with the 9th Annual Masters Obedience Championship and the 11th Annual Masters Agility Championship on Saturday, prior to the start of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Monday, May 13.
Who are the Westminster Dog Show 2024 Judges?
Mrs. Rosalind Kramer — American Kennel Club’s former Judges Education Chair and Executive Field Representative — has been selected as the “Best in Show” judge for the Westminster Dog Show 2024.
On Saturday, May 11, the judging panel will include:
- Zack Davis
- Susan Leitner
- Barbara W. Selton
Furthermore, the following will be part of the judging panel on Monday, May 13:
- Christine Erickson for the Hound group
- Glen Lajeski for the Toy Group
- Fred C. Bassett for the Non-sporting group
- Michael Faulkner for the Herding Group
On Tuesday, May 14, the judging panel will include:
- David L. Kittredge for the Sporting Group
- Rick Gschwender for the Working Group
- Patricia Anne Keenan for the Terrier Group
