Just as Yoda said to Ben “Obi-wan” Kenobi in The Empire Strikes Back, “No, there is another;” the same holds true for VW, which has just released another ad that capitalizes on the Star Wars franchise. This one features the saga’s iconic villain, Darth Vader.
The latest piece,”The Dog Strikes Back,” has an out-of-shape mutt trying to get in shape so it can chase a red Beetle that is driving around the neighborhood. Star Wars fans, should stay tuned for the commercial’s punchline that appears near the end of the piece.
This second piece comes on the heels of another WV ad dubbed “The Bark Side” that features several dogs barking the “The Imperial March (Darth Vader’s Theme)” originally composed by John Williams for The Empire Strikes Back.
The Super Bowl will be televised on Feb. 5. Take a look:
