Only four days ago, I posted this entry about a Pit Bull named Sarge who spent the first fourteen years of his life with an animal abuser and alleged dog fighter. Sarge not only survived, but after his rescue, became an advocate to end dog fighting and a certified “Pals for Life” therapy dog.
I just learned that yesterday evening Sarge suffered a seizure and passed away. My heart goes out to his extraordinary family — two devoted humans and six* other dogs. Sarge’s memory, and his legacy of forgiveness, healing, and live on.
