With the Petties Awards just around the corner, excitement in the pet blogging community continues to build. Nominees in each of the eight categories are reminding their readers to vote daily, as this year the winnings are big: DogTime will donate $1,000 — double the amount of last year’s prize — to the rescue or shelter of each of the Petties winners’ choice.
In keeping with 2011’s greater donation totals and added award categories, DogTime also plans to increase participation in the awards ceremony itself. Instead of hosting the Petties at the BlogPaws 2011 conference, DogTime has decided to broadcast the awards ceremony digitally via YouTube, Facebook and Twitter to allow more involvement from the local and international pet community.
So whether you’re a Petties nominee, avid blog reader, rescue advocate, or digital media aficionado, you won’t want to miss this year’s exciting and interactive production. Tune in August 25, 2011, at 5:00 pm ET right here:
