Voting is Now Open for “The Petties” Awards that will Crown the

Best of the Best in the Pet Blogger Community

DogTime’s 2011 Pet Blog Awards opened for nominations on June 8th and closed on June 29th, 2011.The top four nominees have been selected in eight categories:

Final nominees were selected based on the number of times they were nominated by their fellow bloggers and followers in each category.

“Congratulations to this year’s nominees!” said DogTime Media CEO, Trevor Wright. “It is very exciting to see so many new bloggers nominated this year, and to also see some of last year’s winners back in the running to win again this year.”

Voting opened July 5th and will close July 29th, 2011. Winners will be announced on Friday, August 26th. To vote, please go to http://dogtime.com/petties.

“The response from the pet blogging community has been overwhelming this year, with nearly three times as many nominations as last year,” said Wright. “The pet community has some very passionate, entertaining, and influential personalities, and this is the opportunity for the best of the best to be recognized by their followers.”

Each winning blogger will be awarded a $1,000 donation to the animal shelter of their choice, along with a custom “Petties” award, a “Petties Winner” badge for their blog site, a valuable package of editorial coverage across the DogTime Media Network and a host of social media traffic driving opportunities.
