Terrific news: Sarge, the German Shepherd who survived a brutal handgun attack by his owner only to then face possible euthanasia, has been released to the Toledo Area Humane Society. According to reports, Sarge left the municipal pound around 3 pm today.
Did our letters help? It seems our voices were heard. And while Sarge isn’t guaranteed the chance he deserves, odd are much better that rehabilitation efforts in this new facility will enable him to again trust people — and soon enjoy the life we all wish for him.
