The amount of exercise your dog requires depends on your dog’s breed, age and her individual needs. High energy dogs require more exercise than mellow “couch potato” dogs but all dogs should participate in a regular routine of activities, training and games with their owners.
High energy dogs will inevitably get into trouble if their physical and mental exercise needs are not being met. They become bored and they expend their pent-up energy in creative ways like chewing holes in your best shoes or digging escape routes under the fence in the backyard.
