Adoptable Dogs On Beer Cans! Ale Industries Teams With East Bay SPCA To Promote Adoption

In a bid to put a new spin on spreading the news about adoptable dogs and cats, the craft brew wizards at Ale Industries in Oakland teamed up with the East Bay SPCA to produce a line of beers that feature adoptable canines and felines on the can art.

Named the “East Bay IPA Collaboration Project,” proceeds from beer sales go towards helping the East Bay SPCA further their pro-adoption mission.

“We felt it was important to get as many of the East Bay SPCA’s available animals on beer can labels as possible,” said the brewery’s CEO, Yunyi Zhang, in a statement about the collaboration.

“Our goal is to create awareness of how many adorable animals there are waiting at the East Bay SPCA, and how the community can help.”

What Kinds Of Pets Will You See On Your Beer Cans?

Bailey is one of the dogs whose lovable image graces a can of beer. She’s a female, six-year-old Pit Bull who’s looking for either a foster situation or a forever home.

“I’m pretty much a naturally playful, curious, and clever girl,” says Bailey’s profile on the East Bay SPCA website. “Simply take me for a big walk every day; give me something enriching to do. After my job is done, I’ll curl up next to you while I nap.”

Besides Bailey, many other dogs feature in the East Bay IPA Collaboration Project. These include the hirsute Kingsley, the scampish Pebbles, and the eager-looking Trinity.

Every can of beer included in the East Bay IPA Collaboration Project series features a QR code on the can. The code provides an easy way to gain more information about the adoption process for anyone interested in offering one of these pooches a permanent home.

According to the Ale Industries’ Instagram account, they’ve already been “overwhelmed” by the response to the campaign.
