“Pug Crawl” Celebrates “Star Wars: The Pug Awakens”

The Oregon Humane Society’s “Pug Crawl” has had some fun themes in the past. They’ve spoofed Night of the Living Dead, Comic Con, and Major League Sports. And their latest theme for 2016’s event paid homage to the new Star Wars film with “Star Wars: The Pug Awakens.” Pug owners and Star Wars fans didn’t have to travel to a galaxy far, far away to share their love of pups and The Force, and they showed up in droves to celebrate.

Last year’s event drew 1,700 people, 650 dogs, and raised almost $16,000 to help pets in need, and these year was an even bigger success. The Pug Parade featured Jedi pups, Sith dogs, space cruiser canines, and all sorts of characters from the Star Wars universe.

There were too many amazing costumes to count, and fans from all over the internet are loving the pictures from the event. If you’d like to see a full stream of all the action, the Oregon Humane Society has a feed of pictures from Instagram on their site that you can find here. Enjoy, and may The Force be with you!
