LA On Cloud 9, an organization that assists homeless people and their pets, alerted Hope for Paws about a stray mama Pit Bull that just delivered puppies under a house. The house was in an impoverished neighborhood of Los Angeles, and the compassionate occupants had been feeding the homeless bully mix with what little they could. She had no fear of humans which spoke highly of her temperament and the kind people helping her. In many of these situations the canines have been abused and terrorized by humans and it can sometimes take hours, days and even weeks, just to get near them.
The rescuers arrived with food and it didn’t take the hungry new mother long to come over for her free lunch. They put a leash on her pretty easily and she was named Sansa, just like Game of Thrones!
Next on the list was to get those adorable babies that were under the house. There were seven precious pups. They couldn’t be more than a few days old puppies. One by one they were carried out from under the house.
The entire family was fostered by Bullies and Buddies and the puppies have all found furever families. Mama Sansa still needs to find her forever home so we wanted to share this story with you. Sansa was a loving and patient mom with a sweet personality. Help Sansa out by sharing this story on your social media! Somewhere her new mom or dad is out there, we just have to find them!
Sansa is pet of the week at Bullies and Buddies.
“Sansa would Love to get a home of her own. She has been waiting a LONG time! She was living on the streets and gave birth to 7 puppies in South Central LA amidst a pile of garbage! Her puppies have all been adopted and yet she still waits for someone to LOVE her and make her a part of the family. Sansa is a 2 year old girly girl and is great with other dogs and kids too! She has been professionally trained by the amazing Leroy Singh of Mission Underdog Group – MUG! Sansa is spayed, microchipped and ready to go, and she sure could use your help in getting the word out – one share might be the ticket to her new home! She would LOVE to meet you!
