Our Story:
I have always been an animal lover and always wanted a dog, I asked my mom pretty much everyday for 4/5years if we could please get a dog and the answer was always no. Shortly before my 18th birthday she surprised me with a trip to the local shelter to bring home a furry new addition to our family that would be my 18th present!! We didn’t choose Simba, he chose us. The small,shaven,shaking ,unnamed dog that was cowering in the corner of his cage was so happy to get loved and petted that he was rolling all over us and we fell in love, sadly getting him home wasn’t an easy task, he was sick and according to the shelter his days were numbered, the wanted to put my little guy to sleep, ( they drew a ‘noose’ on his paperwork! Sick people!), even offering me the chance to choose another dog, our answer was a firm NO! So they gave us some antibiotics and sent us on our way.. 10 months later, Simba is a happy, healthy little guy, he loves to run and play with my 14 month old nephew and spend his days in the sun in the garden, or at the dog park! He has brought so much joy and happiness to our family that I’m glad we were at the shelter when we were or else he,like so many other innocent dogs, would no longer be here on the earth! Shelter dogs are even better than store dogs because they can still love after everything they have been through!
