There are two kinds of people in the world: those who love snow and those who hate it. But every dog we’ve ever met loves the fluffy white stuff. In fact, they can’t get enough. What pup doesn’t love to take off, full-speed, through a winter wonderland? Hopefully, when your dog does go on a frolic through the snowflaked landscape, you aren’t at the other end of the leash like one poor soul whose dog walk gone wrong was not only captured on video but also went viral.
Snow Dog on the Loose!
In a clip that has been favorite over 98,000 times as of this writing, a pet parent is seen getting taken for a ride by their canine’s enthusiasm for snow. The vid starts off calmly, featuring a dark landscape carpeted in white stuff. Then a little critter appears on the right side of the screen and runs out of the frame. Moments later, a dog is seen pursuing the aforementioned critter at full bore, dragging his parent behind him.
The dog parent rises and falls several times, unable to compete with the sheer force of the canine’s pull. Take a look, have a laugh, and see if you can relate!

A Universal Experience
Many of the comments in response to the video were clips of similar winter dog-walking mishaps or tales of similar dog-walker-versus-nature woes.
“This happened to me 10 years ago in front of a car full of my daughter’s friends. It gave me street cred,” one Twitter user shared.
“It brought back so many memories! 8th grade, taking my Rottweiler Brandy out in the freezing snow before school,” another commiserated.
“I have had this happen to me while walking my German Shepherd. He really enjoyed having the power to make a change. I miss him like mad,” someone else waxed nostalgic.
Wishing all you pet parents safe walks with your pups this winter!
