Puppies versus a three-inch step shouldn’t be epic, yet Murphy turns it into slapstick courage. In this Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy clip by @izy_the_staffy, Petra and Tommy’s Blue Staffy boy keeps bumping his belly on a stone ledge while Ian narrates with warmth. Sunlight spills across the patio, a purple fleece lines the nook, and littermates bustle around him. The mood stays kind and funny. Determination meets friendship, along with a blanket and very wiggly legs.
Puppies can’t climb steps because of their belly in cute video
The Instagram account posted the reel one day ago. It features Blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies in a stone alcove with a low step and purple fleece bedding. Ian films and narrates as Murphy tries to climb while Pixie, Roxy, Red, Bunny, and Betty hover nearby. The on-screen caption reads, “Murphy vs The step… and the step almost…” It’s the kind of puppy belly video that melts timelines.
Staffies are compact and strong, yet puppies can misjudge tiny ledges. Short legs and a round center of gravity make lift-offs tricky. Ian plays coach and comedian through on-screen cards, saying, “They can’t get up cos of their bellies.” He then encourages, “Go on Murphy and Red,” who try to get “going with little legs.” After Pixie succeeds, he says, “Oh Murphy that big belly in the way.” The pep talk rolls on with Roxy being instructed “what to do” and “these two will show you.” Encouragement peaks with “You know you want to” and “You can do it.”
The scene unfolds in small wins. Murphy protests, and then Ian counters with how blankets are there to help him, quickly adding, “what do you mean it’s really high it’s only about three inches.” He points to a helper, Bunny, who will show what to do. Ian urges, “You get your feet up” and “Get your little legs going.” After a tug and a shove, success lands with Murphy, who, with one big move, reaches the alcove. Ian then invites Betty to get in. However, Murphy continues to blame the “stupid blanket,” bringing laughter to fans’ faces.
Reactions leaned warm and amused. “Oh my goodness when I need a smile they they are.” One fan wrote, “Your voice overs are just the best Ian.” Another added, “Awww they all love that little hide hole!!!! Love their little legs going for it Awwww blaming the blanket then taking it out on it so cute!!! Bellies in the way.” A final favorite read, “Love those wriggley bottoms.”
