Miranda Lambert is using her fame for good. The Grammy Award-winning country singer, who is also the founder of MuttNation Foundation, has joined forces with Tractor Supply Company to help rescue animals during natural disasters.

Miranda Lambert Launches Fund to Help Rescue Animals

Relief for Rescues Fund launched on March 6 through MuttNation Foundation.

“We’ve learned over the years that a fast response is very important during a crisis, so by starting ‘Relief for Rescues’ with Tractor Supply, MuttNation will be able to quickly provide the critical assistance needed to face emergency situations and natural disasters,” Lambert said in an exclusive statement to People.

“Helping animal shelters and shelter pets recover from these types of events is an important part of our MuttNation mission. We’ve provided transportation, medical needs, food, and financial support after hurricanes, tornados, floods, and fires, plus we’ve helped in hoarding situations and with the Envigo beagles,” she continued.

How to Donate to Relief for Rescues

Those who want to join MuttNation and Tractor Supply Company’s efforts can donate to the Relief for Rescues fund at the check-out of 2,000 Tractor Supply locations across the U.S. between now and March 12.

“With the donation-at-check-out program we’re launching at Tractor Supply stores across the country, and thanks to all the generous people who contribute, MuttNation will be ready and able to save so many animals and help the shelters that care for them when they need us. I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity and to everyone who supports us,” Lambert said.

Lambert decided to start Relief for Rescues after helping relocate rescue animals from shelters damaged during Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Her aim is to assist shelters and local response teams that save animals during emergencies.

And in case you were wondering, Lambert doesn’t just talk the talk (or sing songs); she walks the walk, sometimes with pups in tow! The 39-year-old celeb is the pet mom of five rescue dogs and two rescue cats.
