Pet Product Review – Mometamax Otic Suspension
So, this past weekend my social plans were kind of disrupted because my friend Molly’s French Bull Dog had a bad ear infection. I had no idea what product I would ask a vet for should this happen to my dog.
For Chi Chi the Frenchie, what the Vet perscribed was: Mometamax.
Mometamax Otic Suspension is a once-a-day treatment for ear infections. It’s an advanced formula that includes a combination of medications with antibacterial (gentamicin sulfate), anti-inflammatory (mometasone), and antifungal (clotrimazole) properties. Mometamax requires a prescription from your veterinarian. | ||||||
For: Dogs
How it works: |
Here are Molly’s exact words: Chi Chi had an ear infection. We took her to the vet and he prescribed Mometamax. They are ear drops. They are very easy to administer into her ear and one hour after her first dose she stopped attacking her ear with her paws and the head shaking stopped. One drop in each ear for 10 days is sufficient. The best part is that she started feeling better within an hour. Also, you know it is working when her ears become a little greasy and shiny.
If your pup gets an ear infection ask your vet for Mometamax Otic Suspension.
