A rescue pup named Bob Ross is at the Humane Society of Broward County in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The video introduces him as a four-year-old, 27-pound dachshund mix with a huge personality. He loves people, pets, walks, toys, and snuggles. His name brings the painter joke, but the shelter says he does not need a canvas to be picture-perfect. He simply makes people smile by being himself. Now, he needs someone to notice him.
Shelter dog welcomes human with tail wags, promising to be a ‘cuddle buddy’
The clip opens with Bob Ross standing behind a glass kennel door as the text says, “This is Bob Ross.” He looks up at the human with bright eyes and a wagging tail. One caption says, “He may not be a painter…” The next finishes the joke with, “…but we think he’s picture perfect.”
The shelter’s caption said the dachshund mix is “all about bringing joy, comfort, and happiness wherever he goes.” It also described him as a “special boy” with a heart full of love. He enjoys leaning in for pets, soaking up back scratches, and curling up beside people for snuggles.
The video also shows his playful side. An on-screen line calls him “definitely a character.” The caption says he loves toys and shows his silly personality during playtime. The shelter added that he walks well on a leash, does well with other dogs, and handles handling very well.
Bob Ross knows “sit” and responds well to treats. That makes him eager to learn more in the right home. By the end, the reel asks, “Can you give him a happy little home?” The shelter shared its pre-adoption application and Fort Lauderdale address.
Viewers rooted for him. One wrote, “Aww Bob. He’s gorgeous. Boss Ross was the dude.” Another urged, “Come on, good people. Let’s save this angel.” Others added, “Let’s get Bob Ross a home! He’s just delightful,” and “Bob we will pray for your everlasting forever family to come within the next few days.”
