Karma, a 7-year-old Pit Bull, looks out from her shelter kennel with soft, hopeful eyes. One visitor said seeing her wait for attention was heartbreaking. The gentle senior dog once had a family, but she now lives at a shelter and seems to wonder why the people she trusted never came back for her.

Karma’s name may mean fate, but her current situation seems especially unfair. At seven years old, she now lives in a shelter and waits for someone to give her the love and care she once knew. In the Instagram video, Karma stands behind her kennel glass and looks directly at the person filming her.
The person who met the rescue dog said her expression immediately caught their attention. “She was once someone’s family. Her eyes say the rest…” the text over the video reads. Karma is reportedly a very gentle dog. She does not jump on people and takes treats carefully. She also loves squeaky toys and already knows the command “sit.”
The shelter describes her as a low- to medium-energy dog who enjoys spending time with people. She also has a playful side and loves chasing balls and toys. However, once she catches one, she sometimes seems unsure about what to do next. That funny little habit only makes her more lovable. The Pit Bull can easily go in and out of her kennel and becomes especially interested when someone spends time with her.
Another detail about Karma has made people curious about her past. People who met her believe she may have recently had puppies. The shelter staff have also grown very fond of her and describe her as a “sweetest little gentle lady” who always seems to smile.
Karma is waiting for a loving forever home at the Garland Animal Shelter & Adoption Center. Listed under ID #A289759, this sweet furry baby is ready to meet a family who will give her the love and care she deserves.
The shelter is located at 1902 State Highway 66, Garland, Texas 75040, and is open from 11 AM to 6 PM Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday through Sunday. It is closed on Wednesdays. Could you be the one to give Karma her happily ever after? Stop by the shelter and help this adorable pup find her forever family!
