Rather than give up on her mission, however, Maxi quickly came up with a new plan. She wandered over to a family standing closer to the counter and calmly sat beside them, making it look as though she had decided to join a new family, at least until she got her ice cream.

Position may already be filled.” Maxi’s antics made one thing clear: she was determined to find the quickest possible route to her frozen treat.
