Mama Dog’s Tiny Baby Makes an Escape, but Quickly Returns to Her Embrace & Tries To Hide

A newborn Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy wasted no time testing her limits after making a tiny escape from her mother’s whelping box before returning to the comfort of her family. The little red-and-white pied puppy had not even reached her first full day of life, yet she was already managing to outsmart the humans watching over her.

The adorable footage captures the newborn puppy making her way across the whelping area while her mother, Eva, remains nearby with her litter. Despite being less than a day old, the tiny pup somehow manages to slip away and eventually disappears underneath a shelf. The puppy has not opened her eyes, her ears remain closed, and she is still in the very first hours of her life. Yet none of that appears to stop her from exploring.

The humans caring for the litter jokingly describe the newborn as an “escape artist” after she once again manages to get out of where she was supposed to stay. While her adventurous daughter causes a little chaos, Eva appears completely relaxed with her four puppies. “With a puppy this young already finding ways to wander off, we’re going to have to keep a very close eye on her,” the family’s post explained. Eva and her four red-and-white pied Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies are otherwise doing well as they settle into their first day together.

The puppy’s determination immediately won over viewers, who filled the comments with jokes and congratulations. One user joked, “This one has to be Linda … Linda on the loose.” Another praised the tiny pup, writing, “That’s a strong baby right there.” One viewer called the puppies “Absolutely adorable.” Another focused on Eva’s expression, writing, “Look at that smile! She’s a proud Mother. How beautiful, congratulations!!!”
