Golden Retriever Puppy Greets Grandma Just Like How Her Furry Brother Did

A dog’s greeting says a lot about the bond they share with someone. Tail wags, kisses, and playful wiggles can quickly become little traditions that families come to recognize and cherish. For one Golden Retriever puppy, this greeting is now reminding her family of a beloved dog they once loved and lost.

Golden Retriever puppy greets Grandma with the same loving behavior her late furry brother used to show

Honey, a Golden Retriever puppy, has a particularly enthusiastic way of greeting her grandma. A video shared by @hudsonbegood shows the puppy running toward her before wiggling her entire body around her in excitement. Honey also appears eager to shower her grandma with affection.

However, the video soon reveals that Honey’s greeting looks very familiar. Text over the clip reads, “Our puppy loves her Grandma just like…” before completing the thought with, “Her big brother Hudson.” The footage then transitions to a flashback of Hudson, showing him greeting the grandma in almost exactly the same way.

In the older clip, Hudson can be seen wagging his tail and enthusiastically wiggling his body when he spots his grandma. The similarity between the two dogs’ greetings is striking, with both seemingly unable to contain their excitement when reunited with her.

The comparison also gives the video a sentimental connection to Hudson, who is no longer with the family. In a pinned comment, the creator explained that the family remains thankful that Hudson never had a “bad day” when it came to loving his grandma. They said he was always affectionate toward her and loved her “with every ounce of his being.”

The owner went on to say that Honey is now following in Hudson’s “big full body footsteps” and giving her grandma plenty of kisses and affection. While Honey is clearly her own dog, her familiar greeting has created a sweet reminder of the bond Hudson shared with his grandma.
