Shelter Dog Desperately Begs To Be Free Until a Heartbreaking Reality Sinks In

A shelter dog video, shared by @adoptmiamipaws, shows that Rambo, who has spent months in a kennel, desperately tries to grab people’s attention whenever they approach. But his frantic behavior hides a heartbreaking reality. After more than 100 days at Miami-Dade Animal Services, Rambo has grown thin and increasingly tired from life in the kennel.

According to the volunteer who shared his story, Rambo (A2444842) arrived at Miami-Dade Animal Services on April 28 and has stayed there ever since. He has now spent 105 days in a kennel, with little chance to experience the freedom and comfort of a home.

The volunteer said Rambo has become painfully thin during his time at the shelter, making his situation even more concerning. Rambo’s jumping and attention-seeking behavior may seem overwhelming, but the volunteer says he wants to escape the confined space. After spending nearly every day in a small kennel, he craves human interaction, freedom, and affection.

The volunteer described Rambo as a sweet boy who deserves the opportunity to feel safe and loved. They urged potential adopters and fosters to remember that dogs coming out of shelters often need time to decompress before they can fully show their personalities. The post specifically encouraged people to learn about the 3-3-3 rule, which gives newly adopted or fostered dogs time to adjust to their new surroundings.
