An Instagram video of a shelter dog showed a German Shepherd struggling in a kennel. He has been a loyal member of a family for eight years, but then was “discarded” in the shelter. He seems confused and doesn’t understand why his people have not come back to take him home. Meanwhile, it’s been a month since he’s been in the kennel, and no one has come forward to adopt him. In the clip, the pooch appears “overwhelmed” and agitated while living in his lonely kennel.
Shelter dog is ‘stressed and overwhelmed’ living inside the kennel
In a heartbreaking dog video on Instagram, a German Shepherd named Odin struggles in a shelter. The clip begins with the fur baby wrestling with his bed in the confined space. He has been with a family for eight years.
But one day, they “discarded” him and sent him to the kennel. “Now he’s sitting in a shelter, overwhelmed and stressed, wondering why his family never came back,” the caption reads.
Meanwhile, the video conveys a heart-wrenching message: “This may be the last time we see Odin.” He has been staying at the kennel for a month now and has not gotten any adoption applications. If no one comes forward for him, the canine may not survive for long.
Furthermore, the caption states that the pooch has not lost hope even after going through many hardships. Thanks to the volunteers, he has shown them that Odin is a gentle dog who seeks only love and human connection. “Even when a cat came into view, his attention stayed on the person beside him. His heart is still so full of hope,” it reads.
Meanwhile, viewers have been making attempts to boost the post in the comments. Additionally, the video has garnered over 4K likes and counting.
