Saisha is a sweet shelter dog who immediately starts wagging, squeezes her eyes shut for a second, and flashes the happiest smile when someone walks over. A video from @humanesocietymiami says it’s clear she hasn’t had an easy life, yet it’s hard to tell from the way she greets people. The sweet Bulldog mix acts as though every visitor has shown up just to see her.
Shelter dog’s smile is intact despite a crushing past
The video shows Saisha standing inside her kennel, carrying a toy in her mouth as her whole body wiggles with excitement. She squeezes her eyes shut in pure happiness as someone comes over to say hello. On-screen text explains that she’s likely known “nothing but abuse and exploitation,” yet she still chooses to greet people with love instead of fear.
Next, Saisha can be seen out of her kennel with a volunteer. Even wearing a protective cone doesn’t slow her down. She happily trots over for face rubs before making a beeline for the person filming for more chin scratches.
Later, she’s back inside her kennel, but her cheerful mood hasn’t faded. She walks over to the front, places one paw against the metal door, and waits for another little moment of attention.
The Humane Society of Greater Miami shared that while they don’t know Saisha’s full story, it’s clear she had several litters and didn’t always receive the care she deserved. Even so, they described her as the sweetest four-year-old Bulldog mix, full of unconditional love and ready to give it to the family willing to give her a chance.
The video has already earned more than 30,000 likes, and then came the update viewers were hoping for. The shelter returned to the comments with the words: “UPDATE: Saisha has found her forever home!”
