Mama Dog’s Little Babies Move Close to Her & Curl up Against Her Like It’s the Safest Place

One sleepy puppy had only one plan: get as close to mom’s face as physically possible. The tiny fellow slowly wriggled across the mat until he reached Eva, who barely moved except to lift her chin and make a little more room for him.

Shared by @izy_the_staffy, the short clip shows the mama dog staying close while her little babies settle in where they feel safest. And apparently, that’s right beside the sweet Staffy’s face. It’s only a few seconds long, but it’s easy to understand why thousands of people stopped to watch.

The video opens with Eva lying sweetly while all her newborn boys are tucked around her face, fast asleep. She barely moves, happy to stay exactly where she is while her puppies nap against her. The cute little scene has already picked up more than 5,000 likes in less than a day, and it’s easy to understand why.

Then one of the puppies starts wriggling his way toward her chin. Instead of shifting away, Eva lifts her head just enough to give him room. She gives him a thorough sniff before letting him settle right underneath her chin, almost as if she’d been expecting him all along.

According to the caption, this sweet clip was filmed around a year and a half ago, when Eva was raising Hercules, Zeus, Mango, Bean and Frank. Her family described her as “such a gentle, devoted mum from the very beginning,” and those few seconds certainly back that up. Every check-in and tiny adjustment seems focused on making sure her puppies stay comfortable.

Viewers couldn’t get enough of the throwback either. One person wrote, “Love how she is checking them!! What a beautiful mama,” while another added, “That’s when I fell in love with the Wolfpack.” With another litter on the way after a well-earned break, plenty of people are already looking forward to seeing Eva shower a new group of little ones with exactly the same maternal care.
