Piggie was gone before the big day, but the beloved pup still touched every detail. In an Instagram video,@piggiebully showed how Andrea and Marc honored him. The wedding took place in Savannah, Georgia, after they had lost him before they could celebrate together. The couple once planned to include Piggie in person. So they made the day a loving tribute throughout the celebration through keepsakes, artwork, vows, donations, and surprises.
Couple honors late dog at their wedding in heartwarming ways
The video was shared by @piggiebully, whose bio says the account fosters dogs in Piggie’s honor. Its caption said, “Truly it was the best day of our lives. And Piggie was top of mind for all of it.” The reel says Piggie passed away before they got married, then shows how they kept him close. He appeared on their wedding website, save-the-dates, cake, favor cards, welcome sign, and a signature drink called “Piggie’s Hat.”
Piggie appeared to be a compact, black bully-breed dog, likely a French Bulldog or Frenchie-type mix, with a broad face, short muzzle, and stocky build. In the reel, his expressive eyes and small, sturdy frame made every tribute feel even more personal.
The clip shows a registry donation option for Front Street Animal Shelter, a bouquet charm facing the bride, and vows that included him. A memorial table held his framed photo and a candle. Other touches included surprise artwork and a hand-painted Piggie bag. Near the end, the on-screen text says a Piggie plush was carried down the aisle by the couple’s nephew and spent the day with them. The message said, “We love you forever, Piggie. We’re never not thinking of you.”
Fans were moved in the comments. One wrote, “Awww, this is so incredibly beautiful! I love how you included your boy in every aspect of your wedding! Congratulations and I’m sorry for piggie not being there in body but he was definitely there in spirit! So Beautiful ???.”
Another added, “This just made me cry so much. What a beautiful way to honor him. Congrats to you both!!” A third said, “Sobbing for strangers. This is so sweet.” Others wrote, “may God bless you both immensely,” and “I’m sure that you mourned his loss at your special day.”
