And a dedicated Golden Retriever named Pacha is currently cracking up the internet with her top-secret operations. The popular page @goldengirlpacha has posted a video in which we see how the dramatic dog tries to hide her expensive treats. She’s not interested in eating her snack right away. Instead, she spends hours searching for the ultimate secret indoor hiding spot, and it’s hilarious to watch.

The video opens as Pacha stands on a living room sofa, frantically digging at the cushions while holding a hard yak chew in her mouth. This funny behavior actually stems from a classic family backstory. We learn via the in-video captions that whenever her owners give her a chew, she immediately sprints to the back door to head outside. She digs a real hole in the yard, drops the snack inside, and uses her nose to pack the dirt tight.
However, since these particular snacks are pretty pricey, her parents eventually stopped letting her take them into the yard. And because of that rule, the resourceful dog simply brought her outdoor habits inside the house to hide each precious treat. We watch as she places the chew on a mattress and aggressively uses her snout to push imaginary dirt over the prize.
When her sister Bucket wanders over to investigate, Pacha flashes a hilarious stink eye before grabbing her chew and running away. This is because her hidden spot was “busted” and she had to find a new hiding place. Meanwhile, Bucket acts like a normal canine by devouring her own snacks immediately on the couch.
Her humans say this intense hunt sends Pacha from room to room, desperately searching for a spot where no one can spy on her. She rearranges bedsheets, shoves the chew under duvets, and expertly uses her nose to tuck the covers tightly over her stash.
Sometimes her owners accidentally uncover a hidden snack while tidying up the bedrooms. But they always leave the snack exactly where it sits until she is ready to eat. Her mom admitted that seeing her bury things inside almost makes her cry because it is “the most pure thing in this entire world.”
