A video posted on Instagram captured that exact moment as a dog named Sammie reunited with his furry best friend.
Dog can’t contain excitement while having reunion with furry best friend
A video posted by @wildwithsammie begins with Sammie walking on a leash alongside his mom. Everything seems normal at first until the Dachshund suddenly notices another dog from across the street. As soon as he spots the other pup, Sammie begins whining excitedly and wagging his tail nonstop. He pulls forward on the leash while trying to move faster toward his friend, unable to contain his excitement during the reunion. Even before reaching the other dog, Sammie appears to recognize him from a distance and starts reacting instantly.
The clip then shows the two dogs finally meeting, greeting each other enthusiastically in the middle of the walk. The interaction is energetic but affectionate, with both pups appearing completely comfortable around one another. After the initial excitement settles down, the video cuts to the dogs calmly walking side by side with their owner, almost as if they are simply happy to be spending time together again.
