The video shows five-year-old Mochi sitting patiently near grandpa as he spends time outdoors getting work done. Rather than wandering off or demanding attention, the dog stays close beside him, carefully watching his movements as though she wants to be involved in whatever he is doing.
One of the details viewers immediately noticed was Mochi’s bright pink shoes, which she wears on all four paws throughout the clip. The tiny shoes quickly became part of the reason the video stood out online. Even with the footwear on, the Shiba Inu appears completely relaxed and content simply sitting beside grandpa.

For those unfamiliar with the breed, Shiba Inus originated in Japan and are among the country’s oldest native dog breeds. Shibas are intelligent and confident dogs, though they can also be independent and strong-willed. At the same time, many owners say they form deep attachments to the people they trust most. With proper training and socialization, they can make loyal family companions that thrive in active households.
