Dog Gets Confused Between Tennis Ball & Moon While Playing

Pet parents can never be bored around goofy fur babies. To provide an apt example, this Instagram video shows a Golden Retriever named Douglas who confuses the moon for a tennis ball. In the clip, he plays baseball with his family and takes charge of fetching the ball. But his brain appears to malfunction when he notices a round-shaped moon. Meanwhile, the pet parent jokes about her pooch’s antics in the caption. It reads, “Learning the difference between tennis balls and the moon is tough work!”

Dog can’t differentiate between tennis ball and moon during playtime

In a funny dog video on Instagram, a Golden Retriever cannot see the difference between a tennis ball and the moon. The clip begins with the pet in a huge green field, playing baseball with his family. When a person hits the ball far away, Doug seems to be in charge of fetching it. However, his confusion appears to pause the game.

Through an on-screen text, “I got the ball guys,” the dog runs towards the field’s boundary. Suddenly, he slows down and stops mid-way while looking up in the sky. Meanwhile, his dog mom is recording his actions and captures the reason why Doug stops running.

It looks like the fur baby mistakes the moon for the ball. Both are round and white, which presumably confuses the pooch. On the screen, his thoughts display, “Wait, why is it so high up there?” Soon, the Golden Retriever gets distracted and tries to move closer to the “ball-shaped” item. Hence, his confusion moves him far away from the game location. Moreover, the funniest part is that one of the players has already caught the ball.

Meanwhile, viewers couldn’t hold their laughter in the comments after watching the dog tennis ball moon video. A user quipped, “Listen. He heard the ball. He saw the ball. The ball became the moon. Idk why every one is making fun of him.” Furthermore, the clip has received over 69K likes, as of the time of writing.
