Dogs Wait Patiently for Months for Babies To Grow up & Love Them Back

Bringing home newborns is already a big shift, and this video from @levithehuskyrescue quietly shows what that looks like when dogs are part of the family too. Over at @levithehuskyrescue, Chloe shared a heartwarming video showing exactly how Levi and Smuckers reacted to their new siblings.

These dogs spent six months just waiting around and being the ultimate supervisors. They sniffed tiny toes and slept by the cribs without asking for anything in return. It was a long game of patience for everyone involved. Now that the babies are finally big enough to sit up, the real fun is starting. The wait was definitely worth it.

Video shows dogs never leaving the babies for months, so they get loved back

The clip starts with the twins coming home for the first time. Levi and Smuckers take turns sniffing the new additions very gently. Huskies are known for being pack-oriented, so this behavior was to be expected. The dog duo spent months just watching the babies. They stayed close to mom and provided constant company. It is basically a 24/7 security detail with extra fur. They just sat and watched the little ones grow every single day.

But now it’s been six months, and the twins can finally sit up and use their hands. The text says the dogs were just waiting to be loved by the babies. We see one of the twins sitting in mom’s lap and patting Smuckers, who responds by licking the baby’s hand.

In another shot, she licks the baby’s face, which leads to some serious giggling. You can tell it is the beginning of a lifelong friendship. Watching them reach out for their furry siblings is enough to make anyone emotional.

Then comes the cutest part of the video; there’s a tiny hand entangled in Levi’s fluffy toes. Next, another twin tries to grab Levi’s snout. Instead of pulling away, he just leans in for kisses. This footage already has over 10,000 likes in less than a day. People in the comments are losing it over the “skin puppies” showing affection. One viewer even wondered if their first words would be the dogs’ names. That really would be something.
