Dog Can Always Count on Grandma To Be There & Look Out for Him

Canines tend to share the most heartwarming bonds with old people. We have often seen these fur babies getting excited to meet their grandparents. They also tend to the dog’s needs, and a recent social media post captures this instance. The video shows a grandma looking out for her dog during his car rides. A user named @chewythenewfoundland took to their Instagram to share their pup named Chewy. The profile focuses on the Newfoundland dog’s adventures with his loving family.

Thoughtful grandma gets dog stairs so he doesn’t jump in and out of the car again

In the video, the grandma takes care of her dog while he gets into the car. We see the old lady holding Chewy by her leash as they stand near the car. The fluffy baby is used to jumping in and out of the car, which is the most common trait for canines. However, the dog’s grandmother isn’t fond of this. The uploader writes, “My Grandma didn’t like him jumping in and out of the car. So, she got him stairs.”

The kind lady put the stairs next to the car door so that the pooch could safely get into the car. She holds his leash and pats the steps for Chewy to get on it. The grandmother also uses her stick to point out the directions where the pet needs to stand. The Newfoundland follows her instruction and climbs the steps, leaving his grandmother elated. Moreover, she rubs his fur as Chewy proudly stands on the steps. It appears the grandma didn’t want the pup to get hurt while jumping in and out of the car.

The uploader also mentions in the caption, “They were both so proud of themselves.” Netizens also shared their reactions, with one saying, “Everyone needs a Grandma like Chewy’s Grandma. The unconditional love & support between her & him is evident.” Another one wrote, “She right. It saves his hips, especially jumping down.” A third user commented, “His big smile at the end there are no words to express how attached I am to these two.”
