The clip begins with Bowie sitting right in front of the couch as he looks up at his mom with those classic puppy eyes. He clearly wants some affection, and so he places his paw on her hand on her lap. That is his way of saying it is time for a pet. But she doesn’t move. In fact, she pulls her hand out and places it right on top of his paw. This is a move the dog has never seen from his owner before, and it makes him utterly confused.
