Growing up with a pet that’s literally three times your size looks like the best childhood ever. Chloe Talbert, who posts as @the_oakie_dokie on TikTok, recently shared a video of her toddler, Paxton, putting his dog sister, Daphne, to sleep, and it is actually too much to handle.
Their pup is a massive Great Dane, but she acts like a giant, patient baby during this whole process. Chloe tells us in the caption that Paxton is following in his big brother’s footsteps by loving on his furry bestie, and the internet is absolutely melting over it.

The clip opens with Daphne fully stretched out on the couch, tucked in under a blanket. She looks super comfy with her chin resting on another pillow. Paxton is also sitting right there, ready to read a book. We see him trying to flip a page, and then he babbles something in baby language, which looks like he is concluding the story. Next, he shuts the book.
Daphne’s eyelids are already really heavy. And that’s when the toddler starts sweetly patting the dog’s big head. His tiny arm is basically the same size as the Great Dane’s head, and the pats are just the sweetest because of the size difference.
After the pats, he brings his hand to his mouth to blow many kisses to her. Then the clip cuts to Paxton standing on the floor and fetching Daphne her Lamb Chop toy. It feels as though he is giving her his replacement to snuggle with. He tosses it over the side of the couch right next to her.
Great Danes are known for being total couch potatoes, and Daphne is definitely ready for her beauty sleep. Paxton just waves goodbye at the end.
