While the pup did not spend time in the waters and only felt the water with her tiny paws, this day would forever be etched in her owners’ and the pooch’s hearts.

When it comes to newborn dogs, every paw parent is excited to bring them home and introduce them to new things gradually. Even these paw parents were beyond excited to welcome a Golden Retriever puppy named Kona into their lives. The owners documented the journey of their new family member on @alohagoldenkona, showing the first day when the pup was just a few days old to when she got to her forever home in Newport Beach at 8 weeks old.
The account also showed how the excited parents were prepping to welcome Kona home. From buying new toys to visiting the pup often, the owner did everything possible to give a warm welcome to the new pup.
And that was not all. The parents even took the puppy to the beach for the first time to experience sun, sand, and the sea with her. The reel on @alohagoldenkona and @lauren.herrin showed the dad carrying Kona in his arms and just dipping her paws in the water for her experience. “My first time at the beach,” mentioned the parents for the pup.
Although a bit confused, the “English cream golden retriever puppy” surely enjoyed her first experience as she immediately moved her paws and body with joy when the water touched her little paws.
Looking at the pup’s reaction in the clip, followers were instantly smitten by Kona. “I absolutely cannot get enough of her,” said one follower. While another motivated the pooch by saying, “Don’t be ‘frades Kona, I tink [think] of it as a BIG water bowl … just tastes a little …. Salty.”
