Trying to get any alone time when you have a pet is tricky. It’s like they just know when you need ten minutes of quiet. Finn is a sweet Golden Retriever who, as we see in the video, has a hobby of just completely taking over his mom’s relaxing bathtub time. It is hilarious, but also probably slightly annoying. His mom, Lucy, shared this amazing reel through @thedodo in collaboration with her own handle @goldengirl_xena, which already has over 333k followers. And it totally blew up with almost 50k likes. Watch along to see how Lucy handled this odd yet adorable problem.
Golden Retriever’s hobby of throwing things in bathtub leads to sweet surprise in video
In the viral clip, Lucy narrates what was happening around her bath time. She says that “as soon as Finn hears the water running, he is always the first one in the bathroom.” And then the “gifts” start appearing. In the video, we see the Golden Retriever literally bring mom everything he can find, straight into the bathtub: socks, tennis balls, stuffed toys!
Lucy said that although she found it very endearing, he was disrupting her alone time. But there was no stopping him. Closing the door didn’t work. Having her husband try to call him away didn’t work. He just had to be right there. And then Lucy finally got this genius idea: “If he won’t stay away from my bathtub, why not get him his own?”
So she bought him his very own little blue tub for outside. And when she was setting it up, he just could not wait to be let out the door. He loved every single second of it, obviously. To absolutely no surprise, Finn immediately started bringing toys into his tub. He even got in the water with them. Lucy said he “just seemed so happy to finally have his own tub of water to play in.”
Is this the best thing ever? Well, yeah. Now he apparently lets her relax “most of the time,” which is a total win. At least we hope. People in the comments just lost their minds over how incredibly sweet the clip is. One fan noted just how proud Finn looked of himself for bringing Mom toys. Another person asked, “You have a Golden, and you want alone time?” Fair question.
