Dogs Get Stuck in the Most Unusual of Places

Forget everything you know about the natural grace of a large hunting dog. Sometimes a pup just finds themselves in a situation they clearly didn’t think through. Like, at all. Stella and Mabel over at @dognamedstella are the perfect example of this. Their 1 million followers know them as the Queen of Leaves and Unstable Mabel. And this video is basically a highlight reel of the Labradors’ absolute worst spatial awareness moments. It is a bit of a miracle that they navigate the day more or less intact.

Labradors’ video shows every spot they’ve gotten stuck

The list of failures starts with one of them jammed between a cabin and a porch. She just stands there, looking at her human like it is their fault for letting the porch exist in the first place. Then the video cuts to a lakeside where one of the Labradors is sitting on a tiny island. It really is just a wet rock, but soon she starts squealing to be rescued from a three-inch gap of water. But it gets even weirder when they move to the yard.

One is frozen in motion between cardboard boxes while autumn leaves are scattered around her. Next, she is standing on a block of ice across a small stream. She lets out a couple of barks, and her face has this funny accusatory expression.

Next, she’s stuck under a children’s table while a few kids sit around. And the staircase railing shot is comedy gold, where you see a tail wagging between two metal bars. One of them also gets stuck at the top of the stairs, seemingly unable to figure out how to go down.

The driveway reflector is the moment that really gets people. Her hind legs are tangled in the wire base. In the middle of an open driveway. There is so much room around her, but she found the one thing to get caught on.

And then there are the snow piles. As we see in the video, both the Labradors sit on a massive mountain of shoveled snow in the front yard. Then they do the same thing on a tiny, pathetic pile of slush. Just sitting together, refusing to move. The reel has over 46.6k likes. One viewer joked that every look they give says it is the human’s fault. Another fan called them a “Labradork.”
