Taking a chance on the dating scene is already terrifying enough without having to clear it with your resident dogs first. Especially when those pups are high-drama Huskies who literally scream for a living. Over at @sassyhuskies, life in SoCal is basically one long vocal performance. This clip features Ghost and his brother, Ranger, who are currently at the center of a full-blown family crisis.
In the video, the dogs’ mom made the mistake of asking a hypothetical question about her love life. And let’s just say this furry pair isn’t exactly giving their blessing.
Dogs are possibly not in favor of their mom dating
The video starts with one of the dogs, Ghost, just standing there on the floor and listening to his mom. She asks him what he would think if she started dating. And immediately he lets out this long, drawn-out “awoo” that sounds exactly like a very frustrated “whyyy?” It is hilarious. She tries to ask if he’ll at least be nice to new people. But Ghost just looks away and hits another high note. That is a hard no. And then he decides he needs backup.
He starts calling for his brother, Ranger, and heads straight for the stairs. Their mom follows him to the landing because Ghost is really going to town now. Both of them are at the top of the stairs, just howling their heads off. It is like they think they aren’t good enough anymore. One of them seems to be asking why she doesn’t love them. The other is basically shouting that they are all she needs.
It is classic Husky behavior. They are famously stubborn and vocal when they feel slighted. This dog duo is definitely not having it. Then things get even funnier. They both turn around to look at her while she films the outburst. Ranger looks like he’s ready to bite any potential suitors. And Ghost? He’s apparently planning to tinkle on their shoes. The complaining just keeps going, even after the clip ends.
Over 13.6k people have already liked the post. One viewer joked that the first night a guy stays over and hears this howling in the hallway, he’ll be wide-eyed with fear. Another person mentioned that Ghost was basically “mooing with rage” over the whole idea. “Tough crowd,” the owner wrote in the caption. And truly, she isn’t wrong.
