This unassuming dog was just minding his own business on a walk when he came across a total “intruder” sitting right on the curb. This English Cream Retriever from @nautidoggo has a minor in chaos, and he definitely brought that energy to the sidewalk.
A new video shows the Golden Retriever completely frozen across the road, where he is staring down a couple of trash cans. He looks like they’re about to attack him. His mom is filming from the other side, sounding pretty over it as she tells him it’s just garbage. But Nauti isn’t buying it. He thinks that these specific bins are his new arch-nemesis.
Golden Retriever reacts to seeing trash cans on his walk
The standoff starts with Nauti refusing to move an inch. He wags his tail a little when he hears his name, but he won’t take his eyes off the target. He lets out a massive bark, and the text in the video says he’s basically asking, “Who goes there?!”
Then his mom gets closer, and he starts growling at the bins. As we see in the video, this brave Golden Retriever was fully ready to defend his street from the plastic monster, which is the trash cans.
He barks again, and it really sounds like he’s telling the trash can to get lost. His mom tells him to “get it,” which totally backfires because he practically jumps out of his skin. He starts backing up while barking “RUN!” at the top of his lungs.
Then we see him actually shaking a little bit because he is so worked up. It seems like the open lid and the black bags sticking out are what’s really messing with him. He keeps ducking his head to look at the bins from different angles. He even sniffs the ground to see if the pavement has any clues about what these things are doing there.
Hundreds of people liked the clip, with one person in the comments wondering if there was actually something hiding inside the bin. Another viewer called the showdown “Nauti vs. Monster.” His mom keeps trying to drag him away, but he just keeps looking back at the bags. He is convinced they are up to no good, and maybe he is right.
