Sharing a bathroom with a massive, shaggy roommate usually means your personal space is really just a suggestion. Catherine Alexander recently walked into her vanity area only to find that her house rules were being totally ignored.
Her Newfypoo, Hunter, decided that his own designated tap just wasn’t hitting the spot today. In a hilarious video shared on @catherinealexander73, the big dog is caught hunched over her sink like he doesn’t know the difference. The caught-in-the-act moment will make any pet owner laugh and sigh at the same time.
Video shows dog taking over mom’s sink to drink water
The clip starts with his mom finding Hunter practically folded into the porcelain basin. When she asks him what he’s doing in “mom’s sink,” he just looks back at her with a blank, panting expression that says he doesn’t see the problem.
The funniest part is that Hunter actually has his own identical setup right next to her. But apparently, the water tastes a little more exclusive when it is stolen from someone else.
He doesn’t move an inch while she explains the “yours vs. mine” dynamic of the bathroom. His mom tries to keep a straight face while pointing out his designated spot, even jokingly asking if her side is just nicer. Hunter stays perfectly still, leaning into his innocent act.
Being a Newfypoo, he has that giant Newfoundland build mixed with the clever, slightly mischievous personality of a Poodle, which makes his “playing clueless” routine even more convincing. Eventually, he agrees to hop over to the other side, where his mom turns on his tap. And he finally gets his drink while she laughs at his antics.
With over 4,800 likes, the internet is clearly siding with the pup. One commenter joked that his sink is whichever one he happens to be using at the moment. While others pointed out that “what’s yours is mine” is the unofficial law of the house. He eventually hops down once he’s had his fill, but you can tell he isn’t exactly sorry for the takeover.
