There’s something especially enjoyable about watching animals discover new places for the first time. Their reactions are honest, unfiltered, and often very relatable, whether it’s excitement, confusion, or a mix of both. One such experience recently caught the internet’s eye through a video of an aquarium visit featuring two dogs.
Owner records dogs’ field trip to aquarium in video
A dog owner recently decided to switch up the usual walk-and-park routine by taking their two Golden Retrievers, Pancake and Donut, on a field trip to an aquarium. The visit was captured in a video shared by their owner on Instagram under the handle @it_is_a_pancake_life, where it quickly gained traction and thousands of likes.
In the video, Pancake and Donut are seen standing near the dolphin tank, dressed in matching outfits that include small hats, backpacks, and shoes. Their calm but alert posture suggests they are taking in the unfamiliar surroundings as they watch movement behind the glass. Moments later, a dolphin swims close to the viewing area, immediately grabbing the dogs’ attention. The pups appear curious, tilting their heads and staring intently as they try to understand the new creature in front of them.
As the visit continues, the dogs are surprised once again when a diver appears inside the tank. The diver performs playful movements and tricks in the water, clearly capturing the dogs’ attention. While one of the Retrievers watches quietly, the other reacts with excitement and begins barking at the dolphins.
The owner captioned the video with a playful line. They compared the outing to traditional school trips, writing that “doggy field trips” are better than regular ones. As of now, the video has received more than 61K likes, along with a steady stream of comments from amused users.
Many users shared their reactions in the comments, praising the dogs’ lifestyles and outfits. Some joked that Pancake and Donut were “living their best lives.” Meanwhile, others said they wished they could join the same field trip. A few viewers humorously compared the dogs to seals encountering dolphins for the first time.
