Video: American Bully Is Already Regretting Gym Resolution

The first week of January feels full of hope. And then all of a sudden, the “new year, new me” energy starts feeling like a mistake. And Tuktuk from @lulu_andtuktuk is already leading the charge for the pro-nap movement. A recent video shows a New Zealand-based American Bully show up to the gym and immediately opt out of the entire experience. He has clearly realised that an exercise bench makes for a surprisingly decent bed. Let’s just say, if you’re trying to stick to your New Year’s resolutions, this probably isn’t the encouragement you were hoping for.

American Bully dozes off in the gym in video

The popular video shows Tuktuk sprawled out on a weight bench, completely oblivious to the noise around him. You can hear the music blaring and the hum of gym chatter in the background. Despite the commotion, he remains dead to the world. One muscular front leg is just dangling off the side of the bench. It is the universal posture of someone who is officially done with productivity for the day.

While the breed, American Bully, often looks like they were built specifically for heavy lifting, Tuktuk prefers the softer side of life. His Instagram feed is basically a love letter to oversized cushions and the family couch. This isn’t laziness, it’s a very intentional choice to be comfortable. He seems to have decided that his current physique is already at peak performance levels anyway.

When his human brings the camera close to his face, he barely reacts to their presence. He gives one tiny, skeptical squint before deciding that his dream was much more interesting. His owner summed up the feeling perfectly, admitting they “might start again next year.” This big mood resonated with thousands of people who also find the gym slightly offensive.

The comments say it all: over 60,000 people, instantly related to this energy. Fans pointed out that he found a way to use the equipment that actually feels good. Weights or not, the commitment to that nap deserves respect.
