Video: Dog Does This To Ensure Baby Doesn’t Get Hurt While Crawling

Parents can often relax around their dogs while the pets take care of their babies. One such example is this Instagram video, in which the German Shepherds ensure the safety of their human sister as the latter crawls around the house. Lettie and Jack seem to be pros at babysitting the tiny tot, Lilly. In the caption, the uploader mentions, “Keeping this baby in line is a full time job.”

German Shepherd makes sure baby is safe while crawling

In a cute dog video on Instagram, an owner captures how their two German Shepherds, Lettie and Jack, make sure their baby sister is safe. It begins with an on-screen caption stating, “My dogs making sure the baby doesn’t hurt herself.” Then, viewers can see the few-month-old kid crawling on the floor. Meanwhile, the black German Shepherd, Jack, matches the baby’s speed and ensures she doesn’t crash into a wall or cupboards in front of her.

With a slight nudge, it seems Jack guides Lilly to change her direction to a safer side. Next, Lettie appears to be on babysitting duty. When the child whines and stops crawling, the fur baby goes by her side. Then, Lettie keeps an eye when the kid begins crawling towards a room.

Both dogs’ watch continues whenever Lilly moves to a new spot or tries to take out toys from a basket. Interestingly, Jack and Lettie handle the situations calmly and keep a distance so that they don’t bump into the baby. Their gestures have certainly touched viewers’ hearts.

After watching the dog baby video, a user quipped, “Please pay them for childcare or baby sitting!” Another said, “I love how their instincts to protect kicks in.” Many called them “cute” and stated that Lily is the “safest baby on the planet!” One individual also joked, “And this is why they deserve the treats…..ALL THE TREATS.” Since the upload, the dog baby video has garnered over 12K likes.
