It lets big dogs stretch out right next to their humans. “Dad and Mav are on a trip,” the caption says, and the Golden boy looks like he’s piloting this one wonderfully. He’s calm, curious, and so well-behaved it almost feels like he’s flown more than most of us.

With over 142K likes, it’s pretty clear people loved every bit of Mav’s six-hour flight routine. The opening shot shows him clomping up the ramp like a furry frequent flyer. Then, in-flight, the itinerary begins. “Hour 1: stare out the window,” reads the text, as Mav props his front paws on his dad’s legs to take in the view. “Hour 2: get pets from dad,” and he leans into the affection. He’s wearing that signature golden grin that could power a small city.
By Hour 3, he’s ordering and eating snacks like a pro. The entertainment for Hour 4 is surprisingly sophisticated: “Watch Bluey” on Dad’s iPad. This is followed by Hour 5, where he settles in for a deep nap with his Goofy toy. Hour 6 is saved for socializing, as the attendant showers his handsome face with pets, which is allowed since the service dog is technically “off duty” for this trip.
Right before landing, Mav sneaks a bite of Dad’s snacks, basically demonstrating that even the best-behaved flyers have their weak spots. Viewers took to the comments section to praise him, with one saying, “I think I would rather sit next to Maverick than lots of people these days. He is way cleaner and polite than probably many people.” Someone else added, “Such a sweet, gentle boy — I’d have to get a pawprint as an autograph.” Can’t argue with that since Mav really does make flying look like the best thing ever.
