Video: Owner Shows How Goldendoodle Makes Her Kids’ Childhood ‘Memorable’

It’s well-known that kids who grow up with dogs tend to be a little more empathetic, a tad bit more confident, and a whole lot happier. This sweet video from @mostlythedoodle captures it perfectly. Mostly, a fluffy, ever-patient family dog, takes his big-brother duty seriously — fetching toys, offering snuggles, and sticking close, so his tiny humans always feel safe. The Goldendoodle is not just part of their childhood; he’s helping define it.

Owner says Goldendoodle will make kids’ childhood ‘something they’ll never forget’ in video

Viewers are completely smitten with this video of a Goldendoodle with his human siblings. The clip starts with Mostly bringing a toy to a baby in a bouncy chair. The in-video text says, “When your brother is a dog.” Then there is another shot of him sweetly bringing the little one another toy. The text says, “And brings you toys before you can ask,” as the infant takes the toy from Mostly’s mouth.

The next shot shows him trying to comfort the baby, with the text saying, “He stays close when you cry.” Then the onscreen caption reads, “And eats your food,” as we see Mostly licking something off the little one’s hands, with the pup being very gentle. The text continues, “He teaches you patience, joy and comfort,” as we see Mostly surrounded by three kids who are petting him simultaneously. There’s a lot of love dripping from each frame.

The video ends with a peaceful scene — one of the kids sipping a drink in a wagon, and Mostly sitting calmly beside her like the world’s fluffiest chaperone. The caption hits you right in the feels: “Realizing that the dog I got in my 20s is now my babies’ childhood dog and one day will be their password and security question.”

Scrolling through the comments, it’s clear this video struck a chord with just about everyone. One person wrote, “So sweet! Every child should have a pet, if they can.” Another user said, “Oh Mostly! You are the very best big brother! So sweet!”
