Tyler Rayn, who is the proud pet parent of a cockatoo named Sophie, recently introduced a Golden Retriever puppy named Nora to the household. Naturally, Rayn was concerned about how Sophie would react to the new furry member of the family. His worries, however, were quickly put to rest.
Rayn shared an Instagram video capturing the very first interactions between Sophie and Nora, and the footage is heart-melting. In the clip, Sophie can be seen perched on the family couch with a small plastic doggy bone in her beak. She walks to the edge and drops the toy, encouraging little Nora to fetch it.
The interaction is adorable enough on its own, but the real charm lies in the gentle, almost sisterly bond that develops as the video continues. Rayn explained in the video’s caption that Sophie and Nora immediately became close friends, spending time “cuddling, napping, and already acting like true sisters.” He added, “Our hearts are so full, and we can’t wait to watch their bond grow every single day.”
Since its upload, the video has amassed over 7 million views and 774K likes within its first week. Fans flocked to the comments to celebrate the unusual yet perfect friendship.
