In a now-viral Instagram video, Maui shows that sometimes, man’s best friend also makes the best travel companion — complete with angelic naps, polite manners, and a whole lot of cuteness.

The text explains he’s about to take his longest flight ever —12 hours from Los Angeles to Vienna. Far from nervous, Maui trots toward the gate, tail wagging, clearly excited for the adventure ahead. Onboard, he’s a picture of patience. Maui settles in with his human, enjoys a tiny treat before takeoff, and then curls up by her feet. As soon as the plane lifts off, he dozes off and stays asleep for almost the entire journey. His only movements? A tiny paw stretch here and there — plus those adorable “Grinch toes” that made viewers melt.
Even when his human gets up to use the bathroom, Maui waits calmly, never once fussing. Later, he snuggles close for a nap, perfectly content to share the space with his human.
