This hilarious Instagram video showed a dog trying to eat his owner’s cupping massage mark, thinking it’s food. Undoubtedly, it will make you bust a gut. There’s no denying that it’s nearly impossible to separate furry babies from their food or things they believe are edible. For instance, Duckoo saw the cup mark as pepperoni and jumped at the chance of getting the first bite. He couldn’t have been more mistaken, and later, ashamed.
In the clip, the Golden’s owner showed him the spot and said, “Bro, look… the cupping left some wild marks.” As he tried to finish his sentence, Duckoo started licking the area that looked like a pepperoni because of its circular shape and red color. The dog dad cracked a laugh and explained to the confused pooch that “it ain’t” what he thought it was, but that didn’t stop the hunter from continuing to target his prey.
However, one commenter debunked the video, highlighting that the dog possibly identified the mark as a wound. They noted that a canine’s “visual spectrum” and “ability to smell” help them “detect blood on the skin epidermis.” So, Duckoo licked what he believed was a “bruise out of concern” and “out of love” for his dad. He felt the need “to clean up and disinfect” it using his saliva.
