A rescue dog’s heart-wrenching reaction was captured in a video when he was separated from his owner for a few seconds. Cactus, Instagram’s popular pup with over 490K followers, has been capturing hearts with his journey. The sweet rescue dog was found in the deserts of California and moved to Miami to live with his new dad. While Cactus has been enjoying his best life, it appears there are still moments when he can feel vulnerable. The same was seen in a recent video.
Instagram video captures the moment rescue dog meets owner after seconds-long separation
A recent video of Cactus, the rescue dog, showed him in a vulnerable moment during a seconds-long separation from his owner, Mike Brown. The pup’s dad shared that he was “just trying to film some B-roll out on the balcony.” However, Brown noticed “Cactus sitting inside” and “quietly watching.” The video captured the same, as the rescue dog’s attention remained fixated on his owner.
At one point, Brown turned towards Cactus and “waved and said hi through the glass.” This is when the furbaby began “freaking out” after realizing he could not reach and touch his dad. The video showed how Cactus was clearly uneasy in the situation. He started barking and even put his paws up on the glass a few times. The clip noted what Cactus must have been thinking at that point, writing, “Imma break this window!!”
Brown then noticed that Cactus was feeling vulnerable in that moment. The dog dad wrote, “I had to drop everything and run back in to let him out.” The video continued to Brown telling Cactus, “It’s okay, buddy,” while letting him out. Meanwhile, the canine also cutely expressed his displeasure by scrunching his nose. Brown then assured the rescue pup everything was fine, saying, “We’re back together. It was just a glass window.”
Brown noted in the video that he was “not expecting Cactus to react this way” to seeing him on the balcony. Nonetheless, the doting dad made sure to comfort the pup during the vulnerable moment.
