The age of Kaley Cuoco’s rescue dog Shirley was 14. The actress adopted her four-legged companion when she was a 6 week old pup. Sadly, Shirley died in 2024 due to “very aggressive bone cancer that came on very quickly.”
While talking about Shirley on Instagram, Kaley Cuoco said that her pet pooch Shirley lived a happy life for more than a decade before passing away. Clarifying why Shirley was missing from her Instagram posts, the owner of the pet care company Oh Norman! explained that she had to rehome beloved pet as Shirley was not getting along well with her then fiancé Tom Pelphrey’s dog Blue after they moved in with her.
She said, “Unfortunately, Blue and Shirley started getting into some mega fights. Shirley was determined to kill him. Shirley had gotten into other dog fights before and it really scared me. I started to get really worried she would hurt other animals. I had to make a very, very difficult decision. She just could not live with us with how she was behaving. It was an excruciating decision for me.”
And with a heavy heart, Kaley Cuoco sent Shirley to live with her pet handlers Tony and his wife Angie who also look after her other rescue animals.
